Test-drive check-in, part of YardStrike
A test-drive check-in for your phone or tablet: who drove which car, a checked licence, signed terms and the km and fuel out and back — in under a minute, linked to the customer in your CRM.
How a test drive works
1. Pick the car
Choose the car from your stock or scan the QR code on its windscreen sticker.
2. Add the driver
Name, mobile and email. A new person becomes a prospect in your CRM; a returning one is matched to their record.
3. Check the licence
Take a photo of the plastic licence (front and back), or check a QLD Digital Licence with the official app and record who checked it and when — no photo needed.
4. Sign the terms
The customer signs your test-drive terms on the phone or tablet. You set the wording in Settings.
5. Out and back
Start and return times, km and fuel are recorded both ways, and the drive shows on the prospect’s timeline.
Licences are ID documents: we treat them that way
Licence photos are stored privately: never on a public link, only staff with permission can open them, and every view is logged.
Photos delete themselves 90 days after the drive (you can change the period), unless the customer buys the car.
With a QLD Digital Licence there is no photo at all: DriveStrike keeps the check’s result (method, date, staff member, licence class and expiry seen).
