Import watchouts
- Inspect the rear subframe and exhaust hanger points for surface rust, as these areas are prone to corrosion from road grime and moisture, which can compromise structural integrity if left untreated.
- Check the CVT transmission for fluid leaks around the torque converter and monitor for shuddering during acceleration, as the CVT is sensitive to fluid degradation and can fail prematurely if not serviced regularly.
- Examine the front suspension bushings and control arm mounts for excessive wear or cracking, as the lightweight chassis can suffer from premature fatigue in these high-stress areas, leading to uneven tire wear and handling issues.
